Clumsy Days, Birthdays & Prayer Revivals...oh my!

Ever have one of those days where you try to do everything right, but it goes oh so wrong? This morning I woke to a very angry alarm clock…and a migraine the size of Manhattan.

Looks pretty harmless, doesn’t it?

As my morning continued, I managed to spill a 32 oz bottle of water down the front of my pants, eat some “gluten free” food that led to some serious hives and walk smack dab into a moving door. But on a positive note, at least I didn’t spill the scalding hot coffee in my other hand!

It was only 8am.

But then things started looking up.

One of the most “with it” older ladies I’ve ever met celebrated another year of life today. She breezed through the station to say hi and took time, along with two wonderful women I know, to pray for me.

I felt like I was at a revival my friends! There was praying, praising, rejoicing and caring for little ol’ me. For little ol’ me!!! <---did you get that? And this old battered girl, with her wet pants, throbbing head and hives, stood teary-eyed and all the better for it!

You know, we weren’t designed to go through life alone…with or without wet pants or clumsy days. Take some time today to pray. Whether it’s for yourself, a loved one, or simply an issue weighing heavily on your heart. God hears you. Don’t hold back. Send it to the Creator of all things good. Then call a family member or church friend while you're at it. You'll be glad you did.

Cheers to a better tomorrow my friends!

What a great reminder, Nicki. I think we all get caught up in our days and sometimes we just need others to help us refocus. Love that you were prayed for like that. Blessings! Jenna

  5. Great thoughts, Nicki. God is bigger than our problems is a thought God laid on my heart in recent weeks. If He can create the entire universe, He can definitely handle my tiny little problems. We serve a God who is interested in details--our details. Thank you for the comments on my blog. www.themazeofourlives.blogspot.com
