Encouragement For Your HeartThis week, I discovered that "Leggings & Lattes," a post I wrote on infertility has gone a little 'viral.' That is cool, because God is pretty cool. But with 'recognition' comes a lot of 'advice' from well-meaning folks on the state of my womb. Oiy!
"You Can Be A Mother In Many Ways" found me right when I needed it. Holley talks about ways that we are all moms, outside of actual mothering. Even if you have a brood at home, you may need to read this. But if you or someone you love is struggling with infertility, this post could speak a little life into a hurting heart.
Encouragement For Your SoulDid you see this post "Do you need advice for when you grow weary?"
"We all go through it: times of exhaustion and feeling all alone in weariness. One of the biggest lies we encounter in our faith walk is that we are the only ones who experience what we are experiencing."
Kate gives us three reasons for weariness and reminds us that we are never alone.
Encouragement For Your MarriageWhat a great post on "How My Hubby Was Here For Me In My Pain"
Beth at Messy Marriage is a fellow encourager, who is so good at being authentic in her marriage struggles. As a Pastor's wife, she sets such a great example of authenticity for her church community, as well as those who read her blog. I love this lady and her love for the Lord. My hubby and I are marriage mentors who pour a lot of our hearts into working with marriages in need of repair, as well as the youngins just starting out. So investing in healthy marriages is a ministry I believe deeply in. What I love most about Beth and her writing is her desire to equip marriages and make them point to Jesus, esp. when they are hurting and messy! She uses her Masters degree in Marriage & Family counseling and 25 years of real world counseling experience to reach those outside of clinic hours.
